Starter pistol has been fired.
I'm done trying to be heard. Done with the endless shouting into the void, hoping for an echo of recognition. Spinning my wheels for people who don’t care enough to notice, who take without offering so much as a glance in return—it’s a fool’s game, and I’ve played it long enough. Call me a narcissist if it helps you sleep at night, but I’ve learned that pleasing everyone leaves you with no one, least of all yourself. And I’m finished with that charade.
Planning, scheming, mapping out every detail—it’s all worthless without the courage to move. Intentions without action are as hollow as promises made to the wind. The world doesn’t reward thoughts; it rewards results. So I’ve stopped wasting time on what could be and started focusing on what will be. If it’s selfish to prioritize what matters to me, so be it. Because at least now, I know I’m moving forward, no longer anchored by the weight of pleasing everyone else.
I don’t need to be heard anymore. I don’t need the applause or the approval. Silence is enough. Progress is enough. And if that makes me the villain in your story, then write your chapters however you need to. I’ll still be the one turning the page.
