#HappyNewYears - A secular prayer.

Humanity, we must talk. We can no longer remain silent. As this year draws to a close, the weight of what we have endured, and the suffering that continues to unfold before us, can no longer be ignored. We have been told to accept the status quo, to toil for the benefit of a few while the rest of us are left to struggle and survive. We are all peasants in this world, bound by systems that keep us shackled. The time has come to rise, to break the chains that have kept us in oppression for too long.

I know the Lord does not like me. I have questioned, I have doubted, and I have raised my voice against the systems that perpetuate this injustice. But I know this—no matter how unworthy I may feel, I am still created in His image. And if I am created in His image, then I know He desires a world of justice, mercy, and equality. A world where no one suffers while the powerful feast on their misery. I was taught this as a child, and today, I stand here demanding that we, together, create the world that was promised to us.

To the believers, remember the lessons of your faith. The world we see today—this world of inequality and suffering—is not the world we were promised. We were taught that mercy, compassion, and justice are the foundation of all things. And yet, we live in a world where the rulers are no better than the money changers of old. The same greed, the same exploitation, persists. Jesus overturned their tables because He saw that their actions were an affront to the will of God. He drove them out because He knew that their system of profit at the expense of the weak was wrong. The same systems are at play today. And we, His followers, must rise and fight for what is right.

But this message is for all of humanity. Whether you believe or not, you can see the truth. The slumlords of today, the ones who profit from the pain and suffering of others, are no different from those Jesus condemned. They have turned this world into a den of thieves, exploiting the weak and hoarding resources for themselves. And we, the people, can no longer stand by and let it continue. The time for waiting is over. The time for change is now. We must rise together, demand justice, and take back what is rightfully ours.

As this year ends and a new one begins, I stand here not just asking for change, but demanding it. We can no longer wait for someone else to intervene. We have been told to pray, to hope, to wait for salvation to come from above. But I say, no more. If the Lord will not act, we will. If the rulers will not act, we will. If the systems will not change, we will change them ourselves. We will no longer sit idly by, hoping for a miracle—we will create the change we seek.

To the Lord, I know You do not like me. But as this new year begins, I stand before You demanding that Your will be done. I stand before You demanding justice for the oppressed, demanding mercy for the suffering, and demanding that the corrupt rulers who have profited from the pain of others be held accountable. The time for waiting is over. This is the year we make a stand. This is the year we take back what is ours. If You will not act, then we will. We will rise, and we will make the world a place where justice reigns, where the powerful are held accountable, and where mercy is not a luxury, but a right.

To humanity, as this year ends and a new one begins, I say this: We are the ones who must rise. We cannot wait for divine intervention. We cannot wait for someone else to fix it. We will rise, and we will take action. We will fight for a world where the weak are not trampled, where the powerful do not profit off our suffering. We will fight for justice. We will fight for mercy. We will fight for a world where no one is left behind.

The time for waiting is over. We will not sit quietly and watch the world continue to crumble under the weight of greed and corruption. As the clock strikes midnight, as we usher in a new year, let it be known that we are rising. We are demanding change. We are taking action. The time for silence is over. This is the year we make our stand. This is the year we take control of our destiny. This is the year we rise as one and create the world we deserve.

The Lord may not like me, but I know He created me in His image, and in His image, I stand and demand justice. Humanity, let us rise. Let us rise together. The time is now.
